Side A contains the re-issue of the "Take You So Low So You Can Fly So High" cassette originally released on Brooklyn's T.B.T.D in a edition of 100. Side B contains a collaboration with Little Howlin Wolf live at the Marquise Dance Hall in Brooklyn.

EXTRA LIFE "Secular Works" CD OUT NOW

Extra Life is the new band led by New York-based guitarist/vocalist Charlie Looker (member of ZS and Ocrilim, ex-Dirty Projectors). While the music retains some of the heady instrumental abstraction of his work in ZS, Extra Life moves into a far more melodic song-based realm. The compositions are still epic, complex and aggressive, yet with a lush, personal, dramatic spirit; dark, heavy avant chamber pop with a cold Gothic beauty echoing that of Medieval chant. In addition to Looker's voice and guitar, the band includes Tony Gedrich (bass, member Archaeopteryx), Ian Antonio (drums, member ZS), Travis Laplante (keyboard, tenor saxophone, member Little Women) and Caley Monahon- Ward (violin, member Nat Baldwin band).

ZS "Arms" CD

This is by far their best release to date! ZS is the New York band working between the worlds of Avant Rock and New Music. Mostly instrumental, the music often explores the extremes of compositional complexity and virtuosity as well as extended repetition. The sound ranges from "brutal chamber music" to bombastic Prog Rock counterpoint to barely audible breathing sounds to mournful jazz drones. BENJY FERREE "LeavingThe Nest" CD

Hailing from DC, by way of Prince Georges County Maryland and parts unknown, Ferree embodies a back porch pop vibe on par with the lazier side of Beachwood Sparks and Jack White's acoustic forays. His songs rely on a keen understanding of the spiritual side of music from a variety of sources, from the honky tonk to the pulpit.
